About this session

In order to address the nature of the project success, it is important to establish what it is that is to be observed.  There are many different definitions to a “project success”.  For the purpose of this presentation, the definition of a project’s success by Turner (1992), this is often quoted in project management literature, will be used.

In my 17 years successful leadership practice, I used the correlation between the Turner’s definition of the project success and the well-known Tinto’s definition of the team members “stakeholders” success.  Both these approaches have a common denominator – clearly defined goal with the common outcome-success.

It is clear that any project is obtaining new knowledge, so any team member is a lifelong learning stakeholder.  This presentation connects the persistence model for the project/team members’ success using the following successful projects as examples:

  • Implementation simulation technology for the purpose of an effective and efficient operation
  • Using available communication platforms for the purpose of decreasing the operation costs
  • Developing Thermoelectric generators in order to maintain the sustainable operation

Annual Conference

Once a year, the Chapter holds the PMI CWCC Conference & Industry Showcase. This is our largest Chapter event of the year. This two-day event offers access to exclusive keynote speakers, high quality sessions, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and a chance to earn at least 11 PDUs.

Featured Volunteer

Qaid Jivan, BBA, PRINCE2

Qaid Jivan took over as Vice President, Membership with a promise to provide a better service offering to the broader project management community while strengthening our core services. During his two year tenure, he built a new Membership team and structure. After which, the team improved the quality of their current events, while simultaneously developing new partnerships with project management communities in universities, the interior, and the digital/agile space. The result was over 20% membership growth in those two years, and a more vibrant, diverse community overall.

PMI-CWCC is very proud on these achievements and thanks Qaid and his team for the notable contributions.
