Project Manager, Meetup

I am currently working as a Member Banking Specialist at Coast Capital Savings with a passion for helping people achieve their financial goals! I succeed in my job and life by learning on daily basis, building a strong relationship with others, and mentoring others to reach what's important to them in their lives.

My education background is in Business with a focus in Marketing from BCIT where I'm currently in process of gaining a Certificate in Project Management. I'm currently educating myself and learning necessary skills to reach my career goal as a successful project manager. Beside working fulltime and attending school, I have had the pleasure to work with PMI managing meetup events.

Valer Eugen Demian

Communications Manager

'They say moving from Engineering into Project Management is a natural progression. It is true as they do blend nicely in Eugen's case.

Career Snapshot: Eugen graduated with Diploma in Apllied Project Management at Simon Fraser University (Adult Continuing Education) in 2012 and followed it with obtaining his PMP certification in 2016. His most important projects were obtaining companywide ISO 9001-2008 and AS9100 certifications, together with successfully passing 3 audits while in charge of documentation. Some of the most demanding and in the same time rewarding projects he completed were for the military.

He contributes with regularity to PMI and CWCC-PMI via running a project management blog and volunteering over the years with the Programs team and lately with the Membership tem. His role is more on the mentorship side lately; being around such a vibrant and diverse project community re-energises him and provides new opportunities to all.'
