When arriving in Vancouver in 2017, John wanted to share his passion for science and innovation with the Langara community. Taking advantage of his project management skills and past experiences, he decided to pursue an old dream of participating in a TEDx event. Although there were no events he knew about, John decided he would organize one, and in conjunction with Langara College and its Project Management Club, he was able to make his dream a reality. In this presentation, he will share how he was able to do it, and how you can apply your project management skills to organize one yourself.
Many years of consulting experience in large-scale Agile project environments have given John a comprehensive understanding of a wide variety of industries as well as effortless familiarity with project management methodologies and their real-life applications. During his time as a management consultant, John developed a passion for data analysis and has effectively delivered more than $200M in gains to his clients over the years. By aligning his skill set with a creative mind, he takes pride in finding simple solutions to complex problems.
Currently, John works as a Project Manager for Convergence Concepts, a Vancouver-based Software Development company, and is helping his clients achieve excellence in industries that vary from fintech to logistics.
