Cyber Safety Culture: How Project Managers Can Make it Happen & Why Technology is Not Enough

Project Managers will play a key role in this mandatory cultural transformation by adopting and promoting Cyber Safety Culture components and concepts during project delivery. Join this discussion and learn how! It is clear that something is very wrong with our current approach to cybersecurity. Each year organizations worldwide are spending billions on high tech solutions, while the bad guys keep getting “badder” and richer. Why is this and what do we do about it? Clearly, technology alone is not the answer and a fundamental change in approach is required NOW. Creating a Cyber Safety Culture in an organization involves everyone from the front desk through the executive suite to the Board table.

Project Managers can be catalysts for this transformation, project by project, in their inevitable role as Change Managers. It is estimated that fully 85% of all breaches could be mitigated by the CIS "hygiene" factors. These factors are human and process centered, and every project should consider this perspective to protect organizations from cyber attack.
