How the Mentorship Process Works
The PMI CWCC Mentorship Program follows a well-defined process to ensure productive and meaningful mentor-protégé relationships. The program begins with a matching workshop, where participants meet potential partners and outline their goals and expectations. Once matched, Mentor-Protégé pairs engage in regular, objective-driven meetings over six months to work on professional growth, career planning, and project management challenges.
Intakes are announced in the chapter newsletter before the matching workshop. To apply, program participants should email director.mentorship@pmi.bc.ca . Accepted participants will receive confirmation via email.
Program participants must complete a profile (30-60 minutes) outlining their goals and partnership criteria. This information will be used for pairings before the matching workshop.
Program participants will attend the workshop to meet potential mentors or protégés for 5-10 minutes each. Profiles and goals will be shared via bios and worksheets. Attendance is crucial; missing the workshop may limit opportunities to connect with unpaired participants.
- PDUs awarded: 3
- Course Identifier and PDU Claim Code: Distributed to participants after the Matching Session.
After the workshop, program participants must submit their preferred partners and "do not match" choices within 2 days. Pairings will be based on these preferences and announced shortly after.

The renewed program will offer more inclusive and engaging opportunities for members at all stages of their careers to connect, learn, share experiences, and grow together.
This new approach will focus on building meaningful relationships, encouraging knowledge sharing, and strengthening our vibrant project management community.
More details about the program and how members can participate will be shared this summer. Stay tuned—an exciting new chapter for mentorship CWCC is on the way.
