Our members have been asking for more hands-on insight into Disciplined Agile (DA), and how DA fits into their context. Aina Aliieva and Klaus Boedker, both members of PMI West Coast Chapter and DA insiders have agreed to share their insights with us.

Overview:
Disciplined Agile (DA) purposefully pairs the freedom to choose from the best of modern agile and lean practices with guidance to understand and narrow your options. Since its founding in 2012, DA has grown into thousands of members spread across the globe. The DA tool kit was born out of a desire to help people and organizations improve their ways of working (WoW).

Using the DA tool kit, we explore how teams design and evolve a way of working that continuously fits their context.

PDUs: 2.0 Technical

Intended outcome:

  • Articulate why no one-size solution fits all situations
  • Articulate the value of continuously matching your way of working to your specific context
  • Practice the five steps of designing a team’s way of working (WoW)
  • Describe how Disciplined Agile gives you the freedom to choose a way of working paired with guidance to understand your options

Event design:
This is a very interactive event with a mix of talk and hands-on sessions. We are using a virtual whiteboard called Mural. You don’t need a Mural account to use the tool for this event.

To get the best experience and value out of the event, you want to use a device with decent screen size. If you use your computer or laptop, you can open Mural in your browser. If you use a tablet (or mobile phone, but we don’t recommend it), we recommend you download the Mural app ahead of time.

You will receive the link to the whiteboard during the event.

Please be aware that a pre-registration email address is required. We look forward to seeing you there!
