John Munro leads Disciplined Agile Client and Enterprise Partner enablement for PMI. His experience with agile dates back to 2006 while helping a larger firm increase their time to market for a $4.5B online ordering system supported by teams across the globe. Since that time he has work with leading firms to help them become self-sufficient at accelerating their agile capabilities by leveraging the Disciplined Agile Process toolkit of practices.	Andrew Coates has over 20 years of Project and Programme Management experience, utilizes the appropriate frameworks, methods and industry best practices to lead teams, coach and deliver systems that drive business value. Andrew’s early career as a traditional software project manager included work at Telus in Vancouver, Canada. He moved to Hong Kong in 2010, learning iterative development at both HSBC and the Hong Kong Jockey Club. He moved fully into agile with AXA Asia and Standard Chartered Bank, before relocating to Singapore in 2019. Today Andrew works as an agile coach in the financial industry, and volunteers as a Board member with the PMI Singapore Chapter.	Sanjay Rawat is currently serving Director Of Professional Development for 2020-2021 PMI Singapore Chapter Board term. Sanjay is Global Program Manager, having 14 years of IT management & consulting experience. His experience is spread across various sectors such as EPC, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and BFSI with current focus on leading and delivering complex business transformations program resulting in significant and sustainable results. He is seasoned PMO Professional with multi-industry experience in IT Governance, Business and Strategy Planning and Project-Portfolio Management. Currently he is leading a multi-million dollars and multiyear program that is making organization more resilient and modernized using GRC and cybersecurity technology.

Description:

Changing perspectives and practices from traditional waterfall project management to agile ways of working is not easy! In this session we'll review a number of real-life scenarios that we’ve experienced in making our own personal transition to agile. These include common situations you may find in transitioning to agile, such as managing expectations of senior management, problem solving with stakeholders, and working with the agile teams.
