Guest Speaker: Danea Avey, BSc., PMP

With a strong track record in leading complex provincial digital transformation projects, Danea has over 25+ years of experience as a Project Manager, including 16 years in the healthcare sector. Known for creating and managing high-performance, hybrid/agile, and dispersed teams, she has been instrumental in driving successful outcomes on high-profile projects, such as the technical infrastructure for the TACC (Children’s Hospital) and the major upgrade of the Provincial Immunization Registry. Respected across BC Healthcare for delivering stellar results through collaborative, transparent, and creative means, Danea is committed to building successful teams and delivering innovative solutions.

Specializing in team management and leadership, project leadership, stakeholder management, and operations, she has consistently demonstrated the ability to navigate complex challenges and achieve transformative results in healthcare settings.

Currently, Danea works as a Senior Project Manager at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). In her spare time, she volunteers as the President-elect at the British Columbia chapter of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (BCHIMSS), and is also a valued volunteer here at PMI CWCC.
